Today we look at one of the largest CPU coolers Thermaltake has released to date, the Frio Extreme. The Frio Extreme is the companies most recent addition to the Frio cooler series. The Frio Extreme is a twin tower, twin 140mm fan cooler, that Thermaltake says can handle processors rated up to 250W TDP. The Seven Up can was a perfect prop, what a monster!
Thanks for the review.
Liquid cooling gets you 6 degrees, why bother.
Must be a benefit having all those extra fans in the case too (assuming they not vibrating too much :) )
ga-z77-dh3 (great & cheap O/C'er from Gigabyte)
i2600k/16 gigs Kingson 1600 (OC'ed to 4.5Ghz)
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 + (lapped, smok'in deal, 38C idle, 65C loaded)
MSI GTX 660ti Power Edition
Antec 900 case (quiet)

There are benefits to full on custom water, but if you only look at CPU temps, not so much.

The big upsides to sealed loop systems is there are no restrictions on RAM and access to the motherboard. Air cooelers like the Frio Extreme, NH-D14, Phanteks PH-TC14PE... all very nice coolers, all block most the top half of a full ATX motherboard, and have bigger foot prints than an mITX motherboard LOL

all in what you want to run, and how you want to run it.

That cooler looks big enough to push an ultralight, or at least a swamp buggy :P
I have come to the conclusion that "FaceBook" should be renamed "FacePalm"

Thermaltake used to be a dominant player in the PC aftermarket community. Then they fell behind with dated designs and ones that flatout didn't work. Glad to see them starting to get their act together but at a Benjamin I'd rather go with the Phanteks PH-TC14PE.
