Well this is very bad news. I can only hope that the postal inspector, and fbi will help you. Also report Paypal to the BBB make it known that they offer no fraud protection.

as of the FBI and Postasl Inspectors. I talked to them and usually they do nothing if it is under $5000, and they also told me that they have such a backlog of cases like mine they can really do nothing to help, telling me it will be at least 4-6 weeks before they even respond. I think it is a real sad testament to the state of our society, and makes me laugh when i here die hard libs say they government is too involved in telling us what is right and wrong. To me, people left on their own to decide what is right and wrong is a recipe for disaster, because people are always going to do what will benefit them, not what is right.

very sad...

Is paypal going to close their account? It's being used to commit fraud. They are providing a service to rip people off. Don't they have to take action or close the account by law once it has been shown to have been used for illegal activities?

Seriously bad crapola going down in this thread :(

Every time I read a story like this it seems like there's absolutely nothing anyone can do. I've done plenty of trading on the net and not had a bad one yet... starting to worry about doing further trades now.

boefore this I had had one bad deal, and actually tracked the person down and dealt with them face to face. The real funny part of that story was the guy was actually living in my hometown, where alot of people knew me, so whenwe got face to face and found out who i was, the whole situation was made right very quickly.
I take this as a very sad and hard lesson learned. I have over 90 transactions on E-Bay with perfect feedback, pretty good for someone who doesn't do it full time. I have even made friends in the trading circles.
I will never deal on Ebay or with paypal again, I'm not asking people to boycott on my belhalf, but to use me as an example of what can ahppen, I really like every single person on this board, this is a great community and i would hate to see anyone be dealt the BS I have been, especially since I thought this whole ordeal was easily fixable and clear cut in my favor.

On top of that, another buyer had the same experience with this person on Ebay, and the person who won the auction I bid on doesn't seem to exist. Yet Paypal and Ebay refuse to pursue the matter. My next step is taking this to the media and the Attorney Generals office, someone has to speak up

oh i plan on it, I'll figure something out as I go, but i'm going to make this as painful and nasty for Paypal as I can along the way. I figured with all the info, witneses, lies, andsuch, this would be open and closed quickly. what this tells me is that Paypal buries the information stating trade or deal at your own risk so people will feel safe and secure, then they bring it up when there is a proble.
I think Paypal ha alot of responsibility in this, if they really went after people who ripped others off, people wouldn't do it. But they drag it out for a moth in hopes you'll give up and let it go. It only draws more scumbags to the party.

In response to your complaint, the seller has provided proof of shipment indicating that the item was shipped to you. Therefore, we cannot reverse this transaction or issue a refund. We encourage you to continue to work directly with the seller to amicably resolve this dispute.

PayPal does not tolerate fraud or illegal activities. Your complaint has been noted in the record of the PayPal user you reported. If we find this user has violated our policies, we will investigate and take appropriate action. If this occurs, you may be contacted in the future about the status of this complaint.

I can't post here what my reply to Paypal was. I will only say that they "paper-drilled" it, they had no intention of really investigating or trying to recover my money. Needless to say I will be closing my paypal account today, and trying to get as many people as possible to do the same.

Yeah what about small claims court? Is that an option or not? I'm not sure about it since state lines were crossed.

Yes, I informed them that I had two witnesses to what was in the package and that the package had not been opened or damaged when I got it. they totally disregarded all of the information I gave to them, including correspondence with another person who got the exact same treatment as I did dealing with them through E-bay and paypal..
Small claims isn't an option because it is across state lines and I have a phony address from this person. Long Beach PD is trying to help, but not much they can do.
Paypal has the correct address and information, but says I need law enforcement to contact them with a warrant to get it. It like those douchebags protect criminals.

I looked up the name on ebay you traded with (khmerluva562) and they got a neutral on May 22nd, 2004. From another user on ebay who said he is reporting them. Maybe you should team up with this other trader.

Ebay Feedback Linky

Since this person completed a deal over Ebay maybe they have more pull and/or you can get more info on the person.

Sub,
I have contacted the person who left the neagtive review. They had almost the exact same experience I did. Repeated lies, did not recieve what they ordered, no replies from the seller after the fact, etc.
The one I am very suspicious of is the person who ended up "winning" the auction I bid on. Person has one feedback, and won't reply to my emails. I asked paypal to investigate them and they said no.
I need to get everything organized and take on Paypal.
