GIGABYTE Z87X-UD3H Intel Z87 'Haswell' Motherboard Review

GIGABYTE was among the first to send us over one of their Intel Z87 'Haswell' Motherboards to play with. We have a shiny new Intel Core i7 4770K to drop in the latest Intel LGA1150 socket, and we're excited to see what this platform is going to do. We're going to pit it against the Intel Core i7 3770K to see what kind of performance gains we will see from the new platform! Join us as we look at our first Intel Z87 motherboard from GIGABYTE!

The GIGABYTE Z87X-UD3H Intel Z87 motherboard is the first motherboard with the Intel LGA1150 socket to come across my bench and after seeing the numbers today, I think the Haswell platform is going to be a great platform for those looking for a complete upgrade from an older system. Not totally sure if it would be a worth while upgrade from an 'Ivy Bridge' system, but probably worth it from a Sandy Bridge system or older...

I thought Haswell was a Tock and not a Tick? The only thing exciting about Haswell is the mobile space. I will say that I like the Z87 chipset and the features is has. That alone would be the reason I'd upgrade from an i7 Sandy Bridge/Z68.
