RMA a mouse?
RMA a mouse?
Well I got tired of the squeaking of this Cooler Master Devastator mouse (actually the wife got tired of it and threatened to make it disappear) and did an RMA. Process was easy and fast and was approved. I was rma'ing a Seagate hard drive too so I went to ups' website and did the hard drive first....$11.99 from PA to CA ground. Cool. Did the mouse...same price! WHAT??
i will just buy another mouse rather than pay $12 to return it for squeaking.
Guess I could do usps priority but I hate their service...ugh.
So has anyone rma'd a mouse before? Who did you use for shipping/packaging?

Hey KnightRid,
Depending on the cost of the mouse itself, it might be better to just purchase a new one.
Have you got in touch with Cooler Master about the shipping fee?
If the mouse is still under retailer warranty, what about contacting them as well?
I had to RMA a mice...but it ended up being a different story.
The manufacturer just ended up sending me a completely new mouse...while I kept the old one.
The company in question is, believe it or not, 'Finalmouse.' They just had Amazon send me a replacement.

Re: RMA a mouse?
Can you get it under 13 ounces and ship it USPS First Class? Should be under $3 to ship it that way. I'd just use a bubble mailer:KnightRid wrote:Well I got tired of the squeaking of this Cooler Master Devastator mouse (actually the wife got tired of it and threatened to make it disappear) and did an RMA. Re: RMA a mouse?
i was thinking like you Nate but with how crazy companies have gotten with RMA's (Look at Seagates where you have to use approved packaging) I didnt know if I should try it. For $3 or so maybe I will just to see what happens.
lordvic - I got the keyboard and mouse as a set for around $30 so I was thinking like you - $12 to ship is just dumb. I did not get a hold of Cooler Master since it really is not their fault shipping is ridiculous. In all reality, $12 to go across the country is cheap in the grand scheme of things but just not for such a tiny package.

Took your advise Nate and shipped it in a bubble mailer. $3.14 - so you need to add that $0.14 to my moderator paycheck cause you were off

Re: RMA a mouse?
Seems this new one has some of the "jumpy effect" others talked about on the forums. Just jumps around on the screen for no reason.Apoptosis wrote:Not even for $3.14?KnightRid wrote:Got my mouse today![]()
