Using a dash cam in your car has been popular in many parts of Asia and Europe for years, but they are starting to catch on here in North America. Dash cam footage could protect you from someone trying to file a false insurance or accident claim against you or make you the next viral media star if you capture something epic while driving around. Today we’ll be taking a look at the AUKEY Dash Cam DR01 that is available from Amazon for under $60. This is a rather inexpensive model, so it will be interesting to see how it performs.

AUKEY Dash Cam DR01 Review
Re: AUKEY Dash Cam DR01 Review
Soooo....it might or might not capture that accident waiting to happen? lolWe also noticed with this continually recording camera is that it doesn’t record continuous video. It records clips that are either 1, 3, or 10 minutes long
We do not have a dash cam but I think they are a great addition to a car, as long as they work good. Sounds like this one works good but the non-continuous recording is a bit weird.

I guess I need to clean that up... it always records, but you get a bunch of clips limited to that time.

OHHHH ok. So it records and just saves small files rather than a huge one. Got it! Wonder if they do that cause they are using fat32.
