My system is running without maintenance and leaking for 7 years now but I did extensive trials for leakage before firing up the system. Sorry for your loss. Hopefully it's just the MOBO ](*,) Did you try putting water towels everywhere, while only the pump is working? If not, try that and you will see if the slightest drop of liquid would leak anywhere.
Already done 1 hour leak testing before I ran the system and not a single drop. Then after 30 mins of the system running sweet as a nut during timespy benchmarking the pcie port went up in smoke. I jumped up to turn the system off at the mains and as I did the fire burst out and fried my gpu and mobo. I leak tested again just the pump and nothing. I now worry that I did something else to have made this happen and I wont be able to rma the board and the gpu and have lost £1200.
Oh man, thats gotta hurt! Sorry to hear this!
I hope your rma goes through! Thats a lot to lose!

OUCH. I have only ever seen one fire in a computer system and that came from the PSU. Lots of sparks and smoke but never fire. That sucks!

Ok so take a TON of pictures and try to determine if the MB or GPU was the cause. Once you find that out then get ahold of the manufacturer as it definitely seems like something went wonky. If the ASSUCKS board is the cause then they will probably blame you since they are gods and never have a thing wrong with their crappy equipment. DON'T WAIT. Something like this you want to get those pics and get them to the company ASAP and find out if they need the board(s) back or whatever. Make sure you send them back using a tracking service (like UPS or FEDEX) so you can make sure they dont screw you and say they never got it.

I doubt it was the water loop. I am no expert but with you testing it again that seems to be just fine.

ok so Asrock have informed me that they need pics that I have now sent and have said if water damage was the reason (which no doubt they will find it and say it was for the sake of it) warranty will be void and I have lost my mobo and gpu. I have no idea whether the cpu and ram are fine but I believe they are fine so not all is lost I hope :)

ok so Asrock have accepted the RMA through Scan Computers but will not except the gpu. Inno3d ask for pics of the gpu and even though they knew the gpu was fire damaged, after seeing the pics, they voided my warranty and said that due to this fire damaged warranty will be voided for serial number blah blah blah. What a joke. I have now lost a £410 GPU

If the MB was the cause then ASSUCKS should replace everything! I can see the GPU manufacturer denying it if the MB was the cause because their equipment wasnt at fault.

ASSucks is refusing the repair/replacement of my gpu as the fire damage is bad enough that they cannot tell if mobo or gpu was the cause. I will fight this until I get a replacement/refund from Asrock as this is bad customer service in my book

So I have my ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 6 back from scan 8) However Inno3d are now refusing to respond to me. I very much thought ASRock would be the issue here and yet its inno3d that I have rma'd in the past with no issue and ASRock i have had issues with. My how times change :x

I recently contacted scan to get my ek block refunded if possible and they did what they could to help but ek refused the refund unfortunately. so I decided to get my gpu block and at least give it a clean with distilled water and left it to dry off a bit before boxing it back up until i can get a gtx 1070 replacement. Came back to it 3 days later and OMG the screw points on the block have rusted up and cracked

Out of curiosity I ran the pump through the block and it leaked a little bit but enough. So I contact ek myself with them saying they can see that it has been over tightened and blamed me. I didn't even take the block apart to clean. I used 2 barbed 1/4" threads on the inlet and outlet and sucked distilled water into the block with a 10cm tube on either side , blew it back out and repeated 3 times. They said they will send me out a replacement plexi cover to fix the issue which is fair enough however, my gpu and mobo got fried by this unfortunate mistake that passed ekwb quality control. Awaiting a reply to see if they will at least refund my gpu block and hopefully my gtx 1070 [-o<

While waiting, a deal got the better of me and I purchased a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Windforce for £420 and couldn't be happier. This card is a beast as is my 9700k 8) Now for an rtx 2070 gpu block from ekwb when they release one that is. Although I had an issue with ekwb it was a one off. After 6 years of ekwb block and pump/res combo's I will still use them :)

Pics to follow soon

Stepped up to real time ray tracing :) Very nice. That GTX1070 will seem like a built in video solution now .

hi nate. yes I was in contact with peter berkhout from inno3d and he helped me get my previous 2 inno3d gpu's replaced. With the issue I have now the fire damage gpu inno3d of caused refused the rma and I recently found out the ek gpu block was the issue. ek have since closed my rma saying I casued the fault and have asked me to resubmit a rma claim but they while not replace the gpu that the block leaking caused to catch fire. so is it possible to contact inno3d maybe and see if they will honour the warranty or get peter berkhout attention so I can contact him again as I had his email and have a new email so lost his email address?

sadly, Inno3D is a company that I have not dealt with here in the United States. Looks like Peter is still around though - https://nl.linkedin.com/in/salesf1x

Have you tried giving the Amsterdam Inno3D office a call? Not sure if you can call with a toll free number, but you might be able to call and getin touch with him or his voice mail.

The other problem you might be running into is after returning more than one failed GPU... you sometimes get flagged in the system and could be rejected on future RMA requests due to abuse/unusual circumstances.

I have had 2 of the same gtx 980's from inno3d die on me within 3 months of each other so I got really unlucky but that was 3 years ago. The Maxwell architecture was riddled with issue for me and so I went right to pascal thanks to peter :)
