In hospital.....again

Post by KnightRid »

Well back in since a hernia decided to get super bad and needs to be put back in its place. Spending tonight and surgery tomorrow so hopefully just a couple days of sporadic visits by me.

This year has not been super fun lol

Came home yesterday. Just dealing with the pain now. My abdomen feels like jello now lol Slice above belly button for gallbladder and now one below for the hernia repair. Cant lift over like 15lbs for 8 weeks. Basically I get out of all the housework :)

Don't lift anything! Even after you start feeling better!
I went through Dbl hernia in 2015, right side & belly button!
Right side wasn't a problem, but the belly button sucked!
Its surprising how much everyday life is tied to the core of your body!

I'm hoping you have someone around to wait on you for that 2 months! :)

I wish! Wife did bring me a bowl of watermelon the first night. I have to walk to get that damn gas out of my belly. I swear they have contests to see how far they can blow people up until they start to break

Healing up pretty good. Still a lot of pain but that is to be expected. Little worried about the numbness I have now in my abdomen but I see the surgeon next week so will ask ;)

I still say the worse part about surgery (laparoscopic that is) is the damn gas they blow you up with! Painful, bloating and you get to fart it out....ugh

Yea still healing. Still have some pain and soreness but with 2 so close I guess that is to be expected. Of course the tire on the lawn tractor decided to start leaking at the valve stem so with the limitations I have to get someone to fix it lol Saves me the work but sucks for having to spend extra money when we have these damn medical bills.

It is quiet :( Everybody thinks social media is the greatest thing now a days but you can't have lasting conversations!!! Plus every page you look at on facecrap usually has some sort of scam ad or post to get peoples info and money.

glad your still healing and not getting worse. as for faceache it's full of scams/ads nowadays. i prefer forums as convos with random people like you guys can have a lasting effect. :)

Oh hell yea. I am fully back to "honey do list" form - well still the neck problems but that will be for life  Oh and finally covid vaccinated too. So sad the hospital will shove a q-tip up your nose into your brain which hurts and feels so freakin weird but they wont give you the damn shot....USA USA USA lol
