I bought a PS2 a couple months after FFX came out and stuck only 15 hours into the game... I own two games for my PS2, about 12 titles for my Gamecube, and 2 for my XBox. Wasted money? Yeah, seems like it.
Man, that's about the only game I really really like about the PS2: FFX....a well-done, excellent RPG if I've ever seen one! However, the funny thing is they have it for the PC too, and that's going to be my first buy. As soon as they get FFXII under wraps (there's a playable demo on Dragonquest 8), and it comes out on PC, It's mine dammit!!!!! lol.......I wonder if they ever released VII for the PC? If so, that's my second buy, because even though the graphics are crap compared to X or X-2, the storyline still has me hooked.....what can I say, I'm old hat, lol

I personnaly have no problem with the guy thats to go buy 4 systems, and sell them on ebay. its the people paying upwards of 2 grand for them that should have listened to microsoft 4 months ago and preordered.

If the ps3 ws coming out next fall, i would do the same exact thing> But upwards of 6 systems, and sell 5.

I paid for a semester of college that way, when the whole PS2 thing occurred. I spent all my tuition money on them, and turned them and sold them on eBay.

on craigs list for here. they are going for 1200 to 3000. Granted, that 3000 has much less chance, but to turn 400 into 1200 or 1500 over night, thats a good investment to me. Plus it is really microsofts fault they limited the release so much.

I may buy a couple PS3's and try this and hope for the best. I guess it's my revenge on the pricks who did it to the others on the XBox! :P

Also, is it just me, or does Perfect Dark:Zero look stupid? It was supposed to be this great game, then I saw the commercial about a week ago. I just heard a few key sounds and said, damn does this game look stupid. I bet it's Perfect Dark... Sure thing! I guess I have to play it to judge it better, but my first impression is, it's stupid!

This just in. roughly 15% of all xbox 360's are defective. Its not offical, but there are tons of complaints coming in from around te country of systems just turning off mid game.

here is one : http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep ... smrPqu.php

plus this.

MS is estimated to be losing $126 on every full system sold:

Ahh yes, now the true reason I won't buy another console, lol.....I have a better chance of knowing what might go wrong with my PC than I would with a console unit......looks like Quality messed up here somewhere

You think Microsoft would've been able to put out something more stable for such a uniform product.

Well, I guess it would probably be more likely faulty components. That's what happens when you spend $300 on top of the line CPUs, GPUs, RAM, etc, but only spend $10 on a DVD-ROM drive.

Personally I would've liked to see them use a DVD-RW drive and included some of ATi's AVIVO tech to record TV or game footage. Couldn't hurt if it doubled as a USB DVD burner as well, plenty people are going to have it sitting next to their computer anyway whether it be for HD or if they're just cheap. :P

Micro$oft is like any other company: they want to make a product as cheaply as possible with semi-decent quality, all while making a huge margin off that product, so I don't think they want to put too much tech into their consoles......greedy bunch of bastards, lol :axe:

I was reading about this a day or two ago myself. Here is a nice 35+ page forum post about a bunch of people complaining that their 360's don't work.

Microsoft admits Xbox has reliability problems
The Inquirer wrote:Volish spinner Molly O'Donnell admitted to Reuters that some Xbox 360 owners have reported problems but claims that the complaints were widespread and the Xbox was too buggy were over stated.

However, she did say that Microsoft had been expecting problems with the new Xbox. With any launch of this magnitude, you're bound to see something happening, she said.

She recommended that people should call the Volish helpdesk 1-800-4MY-XBOX. However, be prepared for a long wait. Other "postings" complain that the helpdesk takes so long to answer that the Playstation Three will be delivered before someone picks up the blower.

if I said it once, I'll still say it a million times, lol: PC's are the way to go....you can get the best graphics and know how to troubleshoot what you have in your system should something go wrong......oh well, some people......
