Neat little preview, unfortunately, it seems we've got yet another new socket on our hands.

YEAH! I totally agree. I got to the end of the article and was like, "WTF?! Where's the Dothan?!"infinitevalence wrote:The thing that pisses me off is that they did not compair single core donthan power consumption to yonah. I want to know how much more power it uses!

Why are you disappointed ?
What was the memory speed set at ?
What was the memory timings set at ?
What M/B was used . It had no O/C functions.
AT was suppose to do a follow up but thats still coming.
I was very impressed considering the available information .
I can't remember the article but I believe it was ECS. is going to release a M/B with the Intel 975x chipset with a yonah socket. I will wait for more reviews befor I past jugdement. It is all so important to remember that Dothans scale very well the higher the FSB is raised. I think Intel has a winner here . We shall see very shortly.
Did you exspect yonah to kill AMD 64 ? I didn't but I think Yonah will win 80% of the benchies once we get M/B's that support it.
If yonah O/C's to 3.0 GHz easily I would say its a very good CPU. Conroe should be a monster
