That's my point and way I wanna go!
I don't want to OC my pc until I have really good cooling.
Well, it's nice to have good stuff and not have to worry about it but have you ever OC'd before? Unless you are going insane overclocks, an average water cooling system is more than sufficient.

So true, phase change will allow you to add more voltage, but what if you chip doesn't clock that high??
Even with super cooling your still not guaranteed to get a high OC!!!
IF you MUST go for phase change cooling, try OC the proc B4 you buy that cooling.....

wow, Ken, hold your horses. phase change? with -50C at the CPU ? you only need that if you are a die hard, mad, OC guru that wants to OC to 5-7Ghz. wants is not even enough - you have to really know what you doing to play with that kind of toy
c'mon guys, are you jokeing? this guy has good temps and isn't OC ing at all. why is everybody talking about $1300 cooling solutions?

If you read earlier on, he said he would get a prommie AND a Exos2 water kit....the promie is phase change, only gooling the cpu...costs $1300
I'm only going by what he said!!!!
everyone has their own opinion about this one I guess.....it really does depend on what you are able to spend, but application is always priority one.....in my position, Exos2 would be the highest I would need to go, because I wouldn't OC past maybe 5 or 600 MHz at the most, and that's only if the WC system can handle that.....I'm a very hardware longevity-oriented person, but performance-oriented as well, so I figure this is modest.....but yeah, a Prommie would be good for 5+ GHz and plenty of voltage, but would you really use that in everyday life, or is this just to see what numbers you can get? That's the big thing to think about......
You know, I use a Cooler Master Aquagate mini 120 as part of my testing systems. Thing works incredibly well.....sealed system that requires no maintainence, adjustable 120mm fan, and the kit comes with the hardware to mount it on every system available right now.
The base isn't the best, but it wasn't bad enough to need a lapping. Actually the performance is excellent for the price.
I like the flexibility it provides, you just have to be careful with kinking the hoses.
yeah, kinda figured that considering it's closed-loop and the hoses probably are OK, but aren't top of the line....there's certain other tubing brands that are great, and one in specifics but I can't remember the name....starts with a T, lol......definitely late-night here
Wow, this is a crazy thread!
I'm not gonna step in here and say that you should or shouldn't spend the money you maticulously saved for months, but if you go through with this, You better give us some pics like Apop said!!!
