You guys need to remeber that not every part of this country can get high speed, my dad for instance lives so far out in the boonies that even dial up is only 33.6 he cant even get a 56k line.

I remember when I moved up to 56k from 14.4. Man, I thought I was kicking ass

In about a month I'm moving even further out to the edge of the Tanami desert in northern western Australia.
I can still get 56K there though.

dido, i cant survive without internet!!!! I know its sad, but i have to have it!!!!! My computer isnt a computer without internet(all 3 comps!!!)

There are some beautiful spots here in Oz, and the population still hasn't built to the point where you can't have a lot of it to yourself for a lot of the time also.

It's all in the eye of the beholder.
I'm actually heading for the desert because I like it.

I've got a friend, Fish, in Silver City, N.M. who thinks the same.
He's been thinking of leaving the States for a while, now.
