The AMD K8 Architecture`

Post by kenc51 »

I stumbled accross this article.........

It's fairly technical......you'll haveto read parts of this 2 or 3 times.....
But it explains how the AMD64 actually works and why it's so efficient.

Be warned....It may take a while for it to sink in.......

The AMD K8 Architecture

Credit goes to cpuid.com

my goal in life is to someday really understand how cpu's work btw.......

edit this article is long and technical! ;)

Guys.....I said this was technical !!!!!!

Don't get discouraged if you can't understand it (I don't for the most part)

Try http://www.howstuffworks.com ....then work your way up if you are interested in this stuff......

It's very interesting stuff, once you get the basics.....but head wrecking to get to grasps with... LOL ](*,)
