HIS ATI Radeon 9250 problem
I used to have a ATI series 200 graphics card on my motherboard. It was alright but I couldnt get any of the newer games work right. After I got jerky graphics on the new punisher game I replaced it with a ATI HIS Radeon 9250. This as made matters worse. Now GTA San Andreas doesnt play at all. The screen is completely blank. Although you can still hear it. The punisher is worse than it was before its even more jerky and jerky during the games menus, which were running fine before. I have tryed everything now. Can someone help...

Sounds like a driver problem to me.ChainsawKiller wrote:I used to have a ATI series 200 graphics card on my motherboard. It was alright but I couldnt get any of the newer games work right. It's possible to remove all the bits of Catalyst manually, but I find it easier just to do a clean install with fresh new sets of drivers.
And check on-board GFX in the bios too as kenc51 haa mentioned.

I checked in BIOS there is no where in there to disable onboard GFX just to change between the 2. I changed it from PCI to PCIE and san andreas is just about working now. The Punisher as the same problem.
Something else I noticed is that during the opening of the Punisher when it is jerky the sound also goes off.
Any ideas...

I don't really think that 9250 is gonna get you any farther on performance..
