I get tons of those, Master Card, Bank of America, M&I and a few others. Funny, I don't have any accounts with them.

I agree, those people already have all the info they need, so they don't need to "confirm" it.

Don't fall for it.

They usually put your name Dear Mr. John Doe instead of Dear Costumer blah blah

That right there is the statement that would make me most suspicious. That just doesn't sound like something Visa or a bank would say to a customer.

Just a good old phishing scheme.

Hyper link text can be allmost anything. The actual URL is something else

I delete most all. I can't resist once in a while playin along.

Usernames like: "MrJohnDoe"- "IBF"
Passwords like: "IMarriedJaneDoe"-"CarnivoreTestRun"
One can get creative with account numbers and exp. dates.

If everyone would reply back and gave them bogus info, think about how that would overwhelm them.
