XBOX 360 Network adapter ?'s

Post by grunt »

Ok Microsoft sells theirs for 100bux. All it seems it does is plug into the back of the 360 through its usb.. Now Ive got an extra usb only wifi adapter (linksys) but cant seem to get it to work.. Any ideas?

im guessing theres built-in drivers for the one you buy from MS... and thats the only way to get it to work, thus stopping u from using any old Wifi adapter....

Exactly.

However, if you can find an adapter that uses ethernet as a means of connection, then the 360 won't be able to tell the difference. Like this:

Personally though, I went with the eBay option and got one for around $80 shipped. Lot less bulky than the alternatives.
