Idea/Inspiration: I had a busted knee and wanted to make a case while unable to work. Spent all of my workmen's' compensation on making this case.I got the idea from the GorillaZ website art and album cover and not to forget the music which I have been a fan of since day one
How I built : Mostly using a dremel and spraypaint ......Matter of fact I used only a dremel for the entire project..I also used cut outs for the case paint job to get all the mini gorillaz logos
- Features a Proview LCD monitor inside on the side panel with a spray painted plexiglas panel for a cover. Works as a secondary monitor and desktop extension.
- Added the LCD monitor mostly to play Gorillaz videos on to go along with the theme.
- A complete custom paint job over the entire case, including the inside.
- The "left side" (opposite monitor) has the CD case cover from the Gorillaz latest CD entitled "Demon Days" which is Back lit with the inside cathodes
- 9x 12" cold cathodes in total across the entire case - most of them white.
- Keyboard and monitor were painted and customized together in an entire set.
I have been showing this case all around the US and inspiring people to listen to the GorillaZ..or so they tell me.
