well..i went to the store like an idiot...and to find out i can afford an amd 4600+ am2 right out of the door..but can also afford the conroe beast ..want to wait for conroe but no longer insanely bent on waiting since im not sure of the real benefit for me anyway on either side lol ....have other parts here and waitin for nearly 6 months and no test yet...arrrrrrrgggggghhhh

another vote for conroe. For the same price range, conroe will be a much better buy.

hehe thanks for the input...havin every part except the 2 main components sittin for a few months is really gettin to me now lol...theres almost a twitch in my neck from the waiting

not sure...ill know when mr. conroe comes out...probably somethin along the lines of asus more likely

well befor eu get confused conroe will launch witht he 965x chipset, the 975x is better but the only differences supposedly are 975x offers onboard sound and other bells and whistles.


also the Intel 975xbx just jumped 20 bucks in price to a wopping 254 bucks from 236. :( i wanted to get taht mobo too, i may now be looking at ASUS...i hate ASUS.
