7900GTX -> Quadro softmod?

Is it still possible to softmod a GeForce to a Quadro?

Not too sure on this one, have seen someone say that its hardware locked in the 7 series, yet others have had no trouble. The way to do it is with rivatuner, but i cant find a definate yes or no answer, and without one I wouldnt want to try it on one of my own cards, do you? :P
