Intel D975XBX2 Motherboard codenamed Bad Axe 2

Post by Apoptosis »

D975XBX2 codenamed Bad Axe 2, the successor to the current D975XBX has shipped to system builders from what I am hearing... Has anyone seen a picture of one yet on the internet?

This board is rumored to have some changes... a new marvell RAID controller and native support for 1333MHz FSB processors.

wouldn't mind knowing the price. But seriously Intel should drop the price on that board a lot, when Asus P5B and the soon to be released p5b-E are clocking ridiculously well

They're also 965 chipsets not 975 chipsets, so the price premimum is there straight away.

Would like to see what the new XBX is like, though I've held off long enough to get a PC (Just waiting for the Abit AW9D-MAX is killing me and thats gonna be here in a few days!)

Good news on the BIOS settings... I've had two people confirm this:

CPU FSB Range: 1MHz adjustments up to 433MHz
memory voltage: 1.8V to 2.8V
max CPU Voltage: 1.6V
