Half-Life 2 > Doom 3

I don't like Doom 3 at all... it's dark most of the time, so you don't even get to enjoy the graphics. The multiplayer sucks. Half-Life 2 is going to awesome, the new source engine rocks, the physics rock. The graphics are also really good. I know Half-Life 2 isn't out yet... but Counter-Strike Source Beta is, only for Cafe owners, Condition-Zero owners, and a few video card bundle owners... I've played CS:Source and it's awesome. I would have to agree with you on how dark Doom3 is... I think the reason I liked playing Far Cry so much is because of the Brightness of the game... or at least that there are some bright portions of the game to show off the great graphics.

Yeah but Far Cry's story line does not take place in space with a masive rift to hell now does it. I think Doom3 might look better if it were brighter but then it would loose alot of its feel. It just makes sense to have the portal to hell be dark. now if some one wants to do a heven mod that might be interesting.

it might have been ok if you could at least hook your flashlight to the guns or somthing instead of having to have your flashlight out one moment, then have to put it away and try to shoot at where the hell you think the people are.

There is a mod to put the flashlight on your gun at all times! The mod is called Duct Tape & the Duct Tape mod sticks flashlights to your machinegun and shotgun.
