Lexmark 3200 printer

Post by stev »

Hey, my neighbor tossed this working printer out after a garage sale they had.

It looks flimsy in general terms, but does anyone know how good Lexmark printers are? Again this is a 3200 model.

The print heads don't need a special "chip" to reset if a ink re-fill kit is used.

Also, I got a Sony CPD-1320 montior. It's color with general VGA 640x480 res @ 0.25dpi. Nothing to write home about, but it works alright for Reader-Rabbit and Math-Blaster for the kids.

I can vouch for that, though if you might want to keep it just for a few days on the unusual chance that someone might actually want to buy it via the internet since that way you could possibly make some money off it, but othe then that don't bother. Just take a look at some of these ink prices: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... x=0&Go.y=0

As for the monitor it is obviously very old, but if it works for those purposes I don't see any problem in keeping it, but if it breaks don't even try to bother with it.

On any given day you can walk into your local Wal-Mart and find Lexmark printers for around $20.00 - $30.00. Basically, you get what you pay for. The ink cartridges will most likely cost more than what it would cost you to buy a new printer. My thoughts, toss it and don't waste any effort or money on it.

Agreed.

Also, I think inkjet printers suck in general. The nozzles always get clogged, and the cartridges run out really fast, and cost a fortune.

That is true, although it might be fun if you have to take your anger out on something, why not this printer?
