1. Why is dora underwater?

2. Interesting choice of shape for the bottle!

Had to look into this... looks to be 30 versions of the thing not including the dora and spongebob ones, and looks like Amazon has taken it off their site LOL

from the aquapets site.. quess its a leaning toy??
In 2005, Aquapets received the prestigious “Best Toy Award” Gold Seal from Oppenheim Toy Portfolio (a respected and trusted independent guide to children’s media)

Aquapets were named as one of the top Tech Toys of the year in the 2004 Toy Wishes magazine and were finalists in the same category on the nationally televised Ultimate Toy Awards show

Aquapets were featured in National Geographic Kids Magazine in “5 Smart Toys – the Science Behind This Season’s Coolest Toys” in December, 2004.

U.S. News & World Report covered Aquapets twice in 2004 – once in a “Best New Toys” story, and once in “Smart Chart.”

Chicago Tribune recommended Aquapets as a stocking stuffer for parents to buy for their kids in the “Make sure your stocking has the right stuff” story in December, 2004.

Disney Adventures Magazine included Aquapets in its “All Wrapped Up – Looking for the Perfect Gift” toy-buying guide in December, 2004.

In 2004, Aquapets were featured on TV news programs across the country in “Top Toys” and “Holiday Gifts for Kids” segments, including: CNN Headline News, CBS News This Morning, CBS Early Show, CNBC Closing Bell, WB Morning News, NY1 News All Weekend, FOX Evening News, Tech TV Fresh Gear, Tech TV Screen Savers, CNBC Wake Up Call, NBC Evening News, NBC News Today, Telemundo Ahora and more.
from a toy review site
Aquapets are a clan of interactive water pets that thrive on love and attention. These cute little creatures have their own personalities and moods. They chirp, dance and play songs and games. Collect them all - Aquapets even like to play with each other!

Meet the Aquapets!

Following successful debuts in Japan and Europe, Aquapets are now capturing the hearts of America. Just in time for the 2004 holiday season, Wild Planet is releasing six new lovable interactive friends, including one special edition glow-in-the-dark character named Luigi™.

Unlike other virtual pets that are flat and two-dimensional, exist on screens, require constant attention and eventually die. Aquapets are fun, floating, dancing, three-dimensional creatures that react to sounds made by their owners and their buoyant buddies. They chirp with nods of approval in response to proper care and reward their owners and their owners with delightful songs in appreciation of praise and affection.

These collectible creatures come from far-away Aquaplanet. Now living happily afloat in their small aquatic chambers, each Aquapet has its own look, sounds, songs and story. Get together with your friends and have an AquaParty with two or more pets and watch them sing and dance with each other! These affordable energetic friends have a sleep mode, because even the most attentive owners need rest.
