Solid State Capacitors
How do solid state capacitors differ from traditional capacitors? In what way are they superior?

They are one piece sealed housings... less prone to blowing up when run under full load or when "overvolted"
Basically solid state electrolytic capacitors giving longer life, enhanced durability and increasted stability for those mission critical components... almost all companies are starting to use them and some use 100% solid state now.
That said I've run my personal system overclocked 24/7 and have been doing so on dozens of systems since pre-1999 and never blown up a cap yet (knocks on wood). Although I've had some boards with bad caps go bad sitting on the shelf as a bunch of companies used cheap caps and they went bad over time.
