Aerocool Masstige case connector help please

Post by KnightRid »

Ok, I have that Aerocool Masstige case - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/241/1/ , and I can not figure out how to hook up the front firewire and audio :(

I was hoping someone could help

OK motherboard manual - ftp://download.intel.com/support/mother ... 801_en.pdf

FIREWIRE

now on page 44 of the manual it shows the internal headers, and on page 47 it show which connector goes where, only I dont see 3 grounds and 2 +12v connectors on this case :( TPA = TPA1 and TPB = TPA2, ground is ground :) but what are VG and VP? and where are the other connectors it shows I need to have?

AUDIO

page 44 again for the internal headers and then I am lost on this one :) I know what GND is though :p but where do I hook these up? I would guess the regualr yellow audio block on the right side of page 44, but which connector goes where?

I never ran into this before either, normally I coudl figure it out, but this is all wierded out ;)

Still gonna try and get this running, I dont need these hooked up to see it run ;) but it would be nice to have them working.

yes use the yellow audio header for the front panel audio...

Plug the EARL & EARL into the PORT1L and PORT2L and do the same for the EARR and PORT1R connectors.

That will leave you with mic data, mic vcc and gnd.

plug the gnd into the ground...

as for the other two... errr

SENSE_SEND is Jack Detection
Presence# is Dongle Preset
The Sense_Returns are Port1 and Port2

I was about to give up till i found this: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboar ... 015851.htm
Make sure your board is listed though.

pin 1 is mic
pin 3 is the mic power

I had the same problems with my Aerocool Coolview case. Actually the firewire hooked up ok, but I didn't get the front sound to work and in the end I unplugged it.

If I do go back into the guts of my PC, and if I get the the front audio working, will the audio ports on the back of the case stop working? If so I only want to hook up the microphone.
