will post pics after i get it built and running!!

Mike

question - ok, stupid question....should the fan be pointing out the bottom of the case since the PS gets munted at the bottom? I figure it shuld since it has a grate on the case also, and then the piece of metal inside will make it pretty much useless to run the fan that way :)

I might move the hard drive also. I do not know if I like it so close to the PS.

THANX AGAIN TO LEGIT REVIEWS and ESPECIALLY TO APOP AND INFINITE for picking me to win the case and PS(instead of video)!!!!!! You guys rock!

ack... they layout of that case is cool, but crappy for power supplies... Many of the new PSU's (Ultra, Seasonic, Corsair, OCZ, Thermaltake...) use a 120mm or 140mm fan on the bottom to suck up the rising hot air and get it out of your case. With the hard drives mounted below the power supply it kinda blocks the air flow. ugh... it will still work though, but you just can't see the pretty window and lights.

I think this forum has more cat owners on it that any other... saw your cat in one of those pics ;)

Very nice, glad you arent one of they types (usually on ebay) that do the naked reflections :P

Shame all the shineyness is lost/hidden when its in the case.

LOL

never thought about the nakedness factor :)

Windows Vista RC1 installing as I type!! Would have been sooner, but I forgot a cd drive could not read a dvd  do dee do

lol

It is a shame that the case doesnt show off the beauty of the power supply! This thing has windows on each side, but you cant see either of them in the case :(

My cat rules - lol on that subject
vote for her - this is when she was shaved :)

http://www.1800petmeds.com/petcontest/v ... &CID=10307

if that isnt allowed - delete it on outta there!!!!!

wow vista is different - big ole clock, flowers, headlines..hmm...

Mike

Oh I left the fan DOWN on the case instead of towards the inside - dunno if that is right or not, but that is how it is for now. I also have it kind of propped up so the air can get under it - I might have to turn the PS around. I dunno.

Ok off to play with vista and dual core - I need to so like sisoft sandra or one of those programs to see what this thing rates at :)

LOL - we used to have to take her every 6 months to get shaved - she would get all knotted up and she HATES being combed or brushed.

This past year she hasnt gotten knotted up!!! so she has hair now :)

Cost us over $100 each time we got her shaved because they have to put her to sleep to do it.

Yes I love the Aerocase - it is HUGE, well built, and QUIET!!!! I do not like the placement of the hard drive cages over the power supply, but i can mount them in the 5.25 bays with the adapters if I want :)

Mike

sidenote - Vista is about to get deleted and xp put on - this thing is a pain in the arse! permission for this, that , and then the otherthing. I can actually run aero glass, but i have no idea how to do anything with it..lol going to search the internet some more.

Windows Vista adds a feature called User Account Control (UAC), which until recently was called User Access Protection (UAP) and is annoying as hell...

Check this out:

That's one reason why I'm not going to be exactly buying Vista as soon as it's out.

EDIT: @ KnightRid, yes that's one of the main things I love about my case, the size and the silence (almost). :)

That was one of the annoying things I found with vista. Surely by the first 5 warnings, for mundane things, the warning buttons have wasted their effectiveness and people will just click every one from then without reading it.

I love the cat, its like a little lion!

Just turned UAC off! We shall see how that works.

Oh and Aero is a joke! I thought you could always have the windows sideways, but you cant. At least I have not figured out how to do it. You can use the windows+tab and the ctrl+windows+tab to show them and scroll through them...but after you select one, you have to go back and so the keys all over again.

Mike

maybe I should sell that Windows Vista Ultimate when we get it - who knows when we will get it..lol...hmmm

Vista also has a shortcut to the tiled windows, it's beside the start button (quick launch)
You might need to r-click the taskbar and goto properties, the select "show quick launch"

Eitherway, it looks nice.........but I've found it a pain to use.

Wait till service pack 1.........knowing M$ it will be a 1GB download

Yea forgot about that little button in the quick launch...

It jsut seems like they could have had the windows auto flip ideways to pick one, rather than having to jump through hoops. Oh well, I am back to the Windows Classic desktop now :) just like i run XP at.

only 1gb - It looks like Ultimate has seperate programs to download other than the updates also, so enhance features and such. Nothing is up yet, but I might need to get a hd-dvd burner to hold all the updates this time around..lol
