Just bought an open box HIS X1950xtx from the egg.
Got a couple questions
1. How is the noise on the stock cooler?
2. How does the cooler cool?
3. Is it better than a Zalman Vf900 (noise and cooling)
Question to users of x1950xtx

1.)The stock cooler doesn't make much noise, just a quick blip at boot up and unless I'm gaming I never hear it. Under a heavy load like 3D clock speed folding it waivers between 35% and 50% speed. 50% is a little bit loud but is tolerable enough for me to sleep in the same room. I manually set the two that I occasionally fold with to 50% static as the throttling drives me nuts.
2.)It cools ok. It throttles up at 80c and tries to keep the GPU below 85c.
3.)Better is questionable because the Zalman can just barely keep up with the R580's. You need to run it at full speed so it's really a wash.
I would stick with the stock cooler and if it bothers you that much look into water cooling. Hope this helps!
