This thing looks neat, can be found for 130-160 bucks seems to be a good deal.

What do you all think? I know I could do the same with an old PC but this only consumes 10w, and I bet wouldn't be no where near as noisy as a PC.

thats something my dad would love so he could just show his photos to people from upstairs. without having to leave the living room. Also watching vids from my pc would be nice though i'd almost rather plug my comp into a big screen hd tv. :mrgreen: if i had one :ANAL:

Will it play dvds from the dvd player in your computer. I.E. if you dont have a dvd player but you do in your computer.

I don't think it will, most of these boxes wont. something to do with the transfer of data wouldn't be quick enough for the amount of data being streamed.

but the more I have read about this one, I'm finding out the interface on it blows, but most of the reviews from around '05. Trying to find a more recent review but no luck.
