Virtual Machine(VM) products

Post by rocktrout »

Anyone have experience with either VMWare or Virtual PC 2007? I'd like to have a setup where I can boot to Vista 64 and run *most* software applications. In the event something doesn't work quite right, I could open up a virtual window and run that app under XP or Vista 32. What I'm most concerned about is performance. I'm sure the virtual windows don't quite run as fast as the native boot. I know I can setup a dual or even triple boot setup but I'm trying to keep everything within one bootable OS.

Any other suggestions or comments?

VMware works fine if you have 1GB of ram or more, 2GB is recommended!

You do lose some performance, but it's easilly useable!
I haven't used Virtual PC 2007.
