Yeah, it's GREAT news for anyone that is planning an upgrade soon, and likes AMD CPUs.

I currently own X2 3800+ CPU and I've very satisifed with it. :) I was thinking on moving to AM2-based CPU/mobo since I'm currently running a 939-based system, but I think the difference will be very small and it really doesn't worth the extra bucks.

I think I'll just wait for the release of AMD's Quad-Core CPUs, but I also hope that their prices won't keep being high for long, as I've heard that their initial prices when they'll be launched, won't get below $US 500...

Let's hope I'm wrong!!! :)

I warn you all, AM2 is not the way to go if you are stuck on S754 or S939. The new ''K8L'' (now known as K10) WILL work on AM2 but not on full speed. My suggestion, if you are on s754 wait until AM2+, and for the men and women on S939, stay there and buy an AMD X2. It is more than enough before the big revolution will start :)
Not anymore proud owner of a ATi Radeon X800XL ;)
