One of my kids managed to peel some of my mouse feet off. The actual body of the mouse is starting to wear away.
Now I've seen Ulti-Mat's teflon feet. If they were in a local store, I'd go and buy them. I hate ordering online.
Does anyone else have a suggestion on something else that could be used? Can self-adhesive teflon be bought?

There's a problem with going to Fry's, Comp USA, etc. The paranoid Americans are demanding Canadians (Or American's in Canada) have a passport to get into their country. Now with 75% of Canadians living within a couple of hours from the border... it'll now cost them about $70 to get one. And they'll have to wait a long time, unless you want to pay another $70 for a rush job. Right now, there's such a demand they can't keep up. Funny, they criticised about how easy it was to get a passport in Canada... I'd hate to see how easy it is when they're so over-worked.snowking03 wrote:I assume you might be able to jerry rig some teflon to the base...But honestly, you probably can find them at a local fry's, comp usa, or other computer enthusiast store.
I have gone to places like Watertown NY, Duluth MN, Seattle ... sometimes using something like buying bmx/computer/auto parts for an excuse. Then also spending some money on weak beer, food, hotel room, more shopping... basicly spending money. Now you can forget all that. It's too expensive for mouse feet.
I wonder if lack of tourism dollars was factored into that $500 billion spent on terrorism?
Pretty serious discussion over mouse feet eh?
Most teflon (PTFE) tape should do the job (as long as it's not plumber's tape). I have been using generic rolls of teflon tape for a long time, but I usually buy it off ebay. It works just as well as specifically made mouse tape and it's much cheaper. Right now I am using tape that's just like this one:

Tape like this also works:

You can probably find stuff like that in hardware stores, just make sure it has a low coefficient of friction.

Thanks Azndude51! I have a 'friend' who works for an electric store. I built him a computer once for scrap copper he had collected for me. Guess he didn't realize it goes for a dollar a pound.Azndude51 wrote:Most teflon (PTFE) tape should do the job (as long as it's not plumber's tape).
