cant reboot without powering down whole system
well i just bought my new motherboard...ill be honest that i did rush the installing of this thing..i did take time(to route cables and such) but not as much time as normal..but as soon as i got it up and running, i noticed that, just rebootin it from windows it hangs..doesnt even post the bios..but when i power it down completely..then turn it back on..it works...had this issue before a long time ago...forgot how i fixed it tho..any ideas on what could be causing that?

That would be a good place to start. Flip the jumper to reset the bios and see it will restart normally. gl.camarokid wrote:Power Management in the bios? It is my understanding that it can be configured to behave unexpectedly upon shutdown or reboot.

I once had a board with symptoms similar to your and it was a mainboard grounding problem. I lost a screw under the board and it was wedged between the board and the case. I am not saying this is your problem, but make sure nothing is touching the board underneath.
