Age of Empires/Counterstrike = blue screen of death!?

Post by towers »

Hey guys, I'm having this perplexing trouble with my Toshiba Satellite laptop. My laptop is about one year old, and for the past month or so, the two games that I enjoy playing, Age of Empires and Counterstrike 1.6 are causing the blue screen of death. The weird thing about AGe of Empires is that I can get to the main screen, but when I click new game and it starts setting up the new game, the blue screen appears. I am fairly competant at computers however in terms of video/sound drivers and such I'm not too sharp. The error message I get is this:

stop: 0x0000008E (0x0000090, 0x005D0EA2, 0xa96FE004, 0x00000000)

Thanks in advance for any assistance that the experts on this forum can provide 8) .

This king of errors are usually when you have an hardware problem or an driver one. If you recently installed a new driver just uninstall it.
