I'm currently waiting it out with my single 7800gt, until some good DX10 games are out and i can use my XNA studio along with torque on vista with out an issue. Plus by waiting a few more months that card wont be totally outdone in the new games.
just my 2¢

is it worth it to invest 200usd in a dx9 card right now?? thats my biggest problem(ahhhhhh the im so torn!! 60bucks off for HIS x1950xt .... or will i be kicking myself for wasting the money when im stuck with my x1950xt thinkin i could have a x2900xt or xtx right now

very tempting i see.....especially with what you have now. If it were me, I'd wait, but only as long as I were sure I could afford the new card later. It's only a couple more months.

I'd stick with what you have now, until you can buy what you ultimately want. I ran the X1600 pro until I built my new machine. While not being overly fantastic, with shader model 3.0 it was able to play most of the new games on ok settings.
