Hi, recently joined the forum and just now got around to setting up the folding on one of my systems. (Used Darkstar_dd) for the folding since i saw a bunch of Darkstars on the Berkley site. I guess it will take awhile to show up on the list. I was wondering about being able to set the CPU usage high for periods of time, is that possible? I did not see any settings for that with the Graphical client i downloaded.
Thanks,
David

welcome, to adjust the CPU usage you can right click on the icon in the system tray -> configure -> advance tab, there you can set the CPU options.
now if your talking about setting it to one setting for a set amount of time to another setting for another set amount of time, then I dont think that can be done.
as for showing up on the list, usually not long after the first WU is turned.

Yes, thats what i was thinking of, to give over all the CPU at certain times, since one of my systems runs 24/7. I guess i'll leave it at max for now and see what happens,
thanks

I do the same as KnightRid does.
Folding is ran with Low priority. That way other applications and background processes can still get their tasks accomplished. F@H will use ~99% CPU when the process is set to Low, and the machine is idle.
