I am overclocking an E6600 on a BadAxe2 mobo witha Zalman CNPS 9700 cooler in an Enermax Chakra case with G.Skill 2x1GB DDR2-800 memory.
I bumped the FSB to 333, changed the memory speed to 333, left the timings at 5-5-5-12 and re-booted.
All went well. No problems. The core temps are still around 32C to 35C and maybe 40C when playing Supreme Commander with all the settings set to high (I have an eVGA 8800GTX card).
This was waaaayyyyyy to easy! I love this board and this proc!!!
So where do I go from here? What should I try next?
Thanks!

I am new here and new in OC...
When you mention a core temp of 32 to 35 C, is it the surface temp of the CPU or the temps inside according to TAT?
Because when I run 100% loaded, the surface temp of the CPU is about 32 C but TAT give me 80 C inside the chip. I don't run too much close to 100%. I do CAD not gaming.

For a newcomer, you may know more than me
I am using the CoreTemp program. When I speak of the temps, I am talking about the two core temperatures. There is also a Tjunction temperature which seems to stay at 85C all the time. Right now with a 333FSB, the two cores are at 34C with the Tjunction at 85C. Is that what you mean?

Overclocking e6600
My suggestion get a 680i motherboard and some SLI ram
I am new(under statement im a complete noob) to overclocking and have no idea what ram timings are??? but i understand about fsb and multiplier basics sorta!
but with my e6700, bfg 680i board and 2gb of corsair pc8500 SLI ram i am now running @ 3.5ghz no prob
all i did with above setup to achieve this
disable in bios , CPU thermal control, C1e enhanced halt state and intel speedstep, rreboot to bios then disable any spread spectrum as well reboot
next go to bios again i selected sli memory and chose expert then started increasing my cpu fsb (using SLI memory means u dont have to know about ram timings and ratio's and all that sh*t it auto picks ram settings and ratios as u incrade or decreade the fsb)
my results 3.5ghz Core 2 duo (350x4)1400mhz fsb and my SLI ram @ 1050mhz (not quite sure what ratio that is???) u do the math i dont need to know thats what my 680i motherboard is for
hope that i have been some help take a close look at the the picture to see all my overclock settings (note i left all voltages on auto theres really no need to set voltages manually)
