Modano scores 500th goal.

Post by HONkUS »

I know im the only Dallas Stars fan on here but for any other Hockey fans Mike Modano scored his 500th goal tonight. He is the second American to reach 500 goals in the history of the NHL and he is now 2 away from passing Joe Mullen for the all time American goal scoring record.

Congrats to Mikey Mo!

You're definatly not the only stars fan on the board.

Congrats to Mike for getting #500, only the 7th non-Canadian born player to get that 500 goal mark (makes me proud to be a canuck)

Mullen's goal record is next and next year (or if he pulls it together with teh rest of the team) Phil Housley's Points record for American born players is next

EDIT: just looked at the pic, surprised you didnt get one of his 500th goal, that seems to be from last year or earlier, as he has since been demoted (more or less) to Assistant, and wears CCM helmets

i honestly cant say that i would lean on guerin in clutch situations. i mean sure hes a steady point getter on an easy schedule (ahem, chicago) but ive always seen him disappear in the playoffs

i liked thorntons 3pt night, was glad i put him on my fantasy team

Just thought id bring this up again, he got the record, and much congrats to him, now only 15 points away from becoming the all-time points leader for american born players (Phil Housley has 15 more points in 268 more games played)

hopefully he breaks the record before the playoffs start, dont wanna wait til next year to break it

So hainer you are saying that the isles are NOTHING without dipietro...
Its not like the habs have really good scorers hahaha....
I hate when people start blaming a team`s loss on something else.
The Habs haven`t had a goalie for what 1 months now.
I mean DiPietro or not Aebisher was in the goals and the isles still didnt win.
He`s swiss cheese let`s everything in...
We lost Huet a while back and we still manage to win some here and there.
But I have to agree that the isles arent much without DiPietro they just lost 8-5 yesterday....

im just sayin that i had him as my goalie in my fantasy pool last week and i lost by .3 points because of no goalie after the first game :(. not sayin anything else. dunham isnt bad, and if u got Ryan Smyth on your team theres always a good chance you can win alot of games (look at Edmonton now, havent won a game since dealing him away)
