And expensive helicopters to get them there, apparently the helicoptor rental.charter company is charge 4-5 times the normal rate due to 'insurance concerns'

hehe, dont be to hard on your self. Its not likly that it would have been deleated, maybe edited at most if nate, rich, justin, or i felt it was needed.

The FAA finally let the http://vulcan.wr.usgs.gov/Volcanoes/MSH ... _fox_drone drone fly yesterday, cool pics on TV, as it would fly in to the crater, be blown back ,and try again.
It's 22 pounds, can take a regular or infrared camera, and is computer controlled/independent>after a few safe visual flights, it will be able to fly in even in non-visual conditions and "find the mark" .....great for night pics.
and they are working on a gas sampler rig for it.
this is needed for winter, could go a month or more (unusual) without a clear view of the mountain.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I've been lonely (and locked out of the forums for awhile (DB error, nothing bad)
and I got a little excited
