cd in connector on Bad Ax 2 mobo?
How are you suppose to connect optical drive audio to this mainboard? I can't find any connector for the audio in on the board.

Optical drive audio?
Been on the phone with Intel support and thye say the IDE cable supplies both audio/video extraction since Windows 98.Any here old enough to verify this?
you trying to use a headphone jack on the front of the cdrom? or just trying to make sure you can play music on a cd? because you don't need that annoying little cord plugged in to get audio off a cd. I think what they said is correct. I never even use the audio jack anyway on those just front audio for cases. I think you are fine with not having a place to plug it in.

There's a port on drives that does allow an analogue and or digital audio out, but using that along with the cable will only allow you to use a separate volume control on the mixer. Although it's a nice feature to have, it's not essential. Most discrete cards like the sound blaster series have the required input though.

Audio-in for 975XBX2
Thanks for the responses! Please bear with me, know this must be rudimentary.. Got a Sound BlasterAudigy SE. Also have two optical IDE drives. Do you have to connect audio cables from both DVD-ROM & DVD Burner (with Y connector) to the sound card AUX IN to hear sound via sound card from both DVD's?
