My 8 year old has been pretty close a few times. I think his best is 250-ish, and he's had 6 and 7 strikes in a row.

The high score on my console is 257, my mate played for ages trying to beat 227 that I had, grr, I'll never beat that by myself

Looks pretty simple (i.e. basic mindstorms stuff) it'd just be programming the motors to release it at the right time that would take a bit more trail and error.

A perfect game is a 300 which is 12 strikes in a row

Not sure if you can earn anything with a perfect game, but once you reach "Pro" level you are awarded with a special silver bowling ball
