Hi, im goin to buy a new laptop for work and gaming,
and i was wondering what graphics card is better??
The 256MB DDR3 nVidia® GeForce™ Go 7900 graphics card or the 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7300 TurboCache

The GeForce Go 7900 will play nearly any game with ease... the GeForce 7300 won't... If you are a gamer the choice is simple... GeForce Go 7900 hands down... Worth every penny.

Thats an easy one, the 7900.

7900 hands down for gaming

7300 is u want a cheap laptop

For reals. The 7900 every time.

Imagine if companies had a 512MB 7300 vs 256MB 7900 configs, and they put an extra mark-up on the 7300, how many unsuspecting people would still buy the 7300's as it had more memory.

Yes, Tablet PC. Gateway makes one with a ATI 1300 but that's not exactly a GPU.

Luckily nVidia is pretty consistant w/ their naming schemes. The release the mid and high range cards such as the 6600 6800...then the release a newer model when the new chips are made...6800-->7800-->8800

there are also the lower end cards like the 7300 for example.

and then lately they have been releasing better cards later into each generation such as w/ the 7900 and 7950 cards and the upcoming 8900 series cards.

The only advantage of the 7300 card is that it consumes less energy.
