Question on an AVG scan...

Post by bubba »

Ok, on windows start I have the free versions of AVG virus and spyware sniffer set to update and scan.

For the last two days it will have a couple DLL files listed and for each in the Result/Infection column all it says is 'change' and when the scan is done its says it didn't find anything.

Has this happened to anyone else, what does it mean?

Sounds like changed just means the files differ from when AVG last examined them, and should be alright if the files were legitimately updated. Have you run windows update or installed new software or drivers?

Here's a mods response from grisoft:
this happens when your system gets updated or it corrects the files in other ways. If it continues to show this, delete the AVG7QT.DAT file in the root directory of C:\ and AVG will rebuild the file.
