Font help

Post by Merlin »

OK strange problem...on my wife's PC all text seems to be fine except online web pages...you can read the headings and tabs etc. fine but the text in the body of the page is all blurred. I tried to copy the page from her PC to post here but couldn't. I have tried re-ssizing the desktop, switching to large fonts, DXdiag, re-installing video drivers, re-installed java....still can't read the text on a webpage. Word docs are fine and Print shop (wife's fav) is fine also. Any ideas?

change browser fonts or set them to defaults?

If only the browser looks cruddy/blurred out, have you changed the browser fonts within firefox or internet exploder? Maybe try a different font or click set to default. Change text/font size within the browser, an option off of view in the menu. Mine is set to Times New Roman size 16, probably the default. Let us know and good luck!

Just a small addition to this thread...

Pressing the CTRL key while scrolling the mouse wheel changes the font size in your browser. It's a strange combination, but I've found myself doing it on more than one occasion. Also does it with CTRL +/- but I can't see that I would ever hit those keystrokes accidentally.
