Hi again,
I tried to set up a user account for my girlfriend, and XP also made me set up an administrator account. I already had an administrator account from when I installed the OS.
How can I log into the original account? I still see the Administrator account in the documents and settings folder in the C drive.
thanks for the help
User account problems
when your setting at the login/welcome screen. hit the CRT+ALT+DEL once and the hidden accounts (ie the admin) will appear.
or
when the machine is booting hit F8 to go to safe mode then you can log in there.

Theres a way to enable Admin login in the registry, so you dont have to do all that funky stuff at restart:
[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key: HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList
Modify/Create the Value Data Type(s) and Value Name(s) as detailed below.
Data Type: DWORD// Value Name: Administrator
Setting for Value Data: [0 = Disabled / 1 = Enabled]
Exit Registry and Reboot

the easiest without hacking the registry, go to the control panel,-user accounts -> change the way users log on/off -> turn off welcome screen and fast switching.
This gets you an old style windows login box, users have to typing their name and pass rather than clicking on a pretty icon.
