Personally i thought it was a cheesey intro, just trying to push a show not too many people are watching...though it was kinda funny.
But of course, people are angry about everything, and have to bitch about everything.
First of all, parents were complaining that it was inappropriate for children to see. Okay, its a parents responsibility to govern what their children watch. Second on this point, there was no nudity, all innuendo, lord help a parent who ends up having to explain adult relations to their children...thats the job of their pop idols like Brittany Spears or R Kelly.
Second, womens groups blasted it for being sexist. Won't even get into this one as I'm sure my opinion of the women who make up these groups will cause alot of friction.
Third, people like Tony Dungy were offended because they called it racially embarrassing...!!??????? WTF, how could this be racially embarrassing? First, I thought Tony Dungy had his personality surgically removed at birth, seriously, you could replace Tony with a cardboard cutout and no one would notice. I almost feel sorry for people that still play the race card...again, nuff said there.
Last I want to bring up something I haven't heard mentioned anywhere yet, and this is the most surprising to me. There was inuendo, there was no sex, no bad language, and most disappointingly, we didn't get to see any of Nicolette, so how was the intro any worse than any beer or alcohol commercial shown all day everyday without mention. Seriously people, these commercials are one step from "Girls Gone Wild", and if you believe them, then by drinking their product, or wearing their pants....even I could get lucky with an early to mid 20's hottie.....but I guess the difference is that that intro isn't paid for by a sponsor who pumps millions into both ABC and the NFL.
Hypocrites aren't we all
Terrel Owens, Nicolette Sheridan, and ABC
In fact all of the into's (those that I've seen) this year have cheesy.
This is supposed to be about FOOTBALL, we don't need a little drama beforehand.
If that's what it takes to get people to watch, MNF is in trouble. or is it that the other shows are so bad that they need the hype from MNF.
either way I'm not watching anymore.

Let me get this straight.... because of that promo, you aren't going to watch MNF anymore??!!! HAHAHAHA.....Thats funny. I have heard people say things like that all day on the news, but whats even more funny is that you never hear a single word about the racier ads on TV by companies selling beer and other alcoholic drinks, or people complaining about Levi's commercials (saw one just today where a dog rips the pants off a lady and she's sitting there in some sexy underoos). The way this is going there will be about 15 of us watching TV before the end of the year, everyone else will only turn theirs on to watch CNN or MSNBC, but even then only when they are bashing the US for something...

who cares about the MNF thing... did you hear about Tyra Banks in the airplane! She was trying to get more comfortable so she could sleep and got naked in the isle and changed clothes... She forgot about the entire plane and said she is used to chaning in front of others... Haha
EDIT: Found the story...
EDIT: Found the story...
"she calmly STRIPPED NAKED in the First Class aisle of her flight to New York recently in order to change into her PJ's. Banks is apparently so accustomed to changing backstage at fashion shows, that she didn't stop to think that her fellow passengers might find the impromptu "show" unusual!!! She said, quote, "As a model you're so used to it you don't care, and I realized, 'Wait, I'm not backstage at a Victoria's Secret fashion show. . . I'm on an airplane!'"
It's not just that, it's just an example of networks stretching too far.capper5016 wrote:Let me get this straight.... because of that promo, you aren't going to watch MNF anymore??!!! !
It's like putting thanksgiving dinner in a blender, rather than a great tasting smoothie, you end up with some sort of weird mush. Each item is great on it's own, but some things just don't mix
