Post by minhaz4u »

Hi...this is ma first post in Legitreviews...I've been reading posts in this forum for quite sometime and found that there r a lotta techies here
I wanna build a new pc..but donno much abt PSU

here is the config...

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Socket AM2
MSI K9N SLI Platinum Socket AM2, nForce570 SLI
MSI NX7600GT 256Mb PCI-E
1024Mb PC2-5400/5300 667MHz DDR2 DIMM Kingston
40 Gb Seagate HDD
LG DVD±RW+CD/RW

For the above congfiguration, will this PSU be enough?

MiddleTower, ATX, 400W 20+4-pin, 2USB, AUDIO, IEEE1394, FAN, Airduct, 5.25''x4, 3.5''x6
:)
Any suggestions on my config. would be appreciated :)

Hi All,

minhaz4u, not knowing what your budget is or how you plan on using your machine, I'm suggesting that you increase the size of your Hard Drive. You can buy a 320 GB Drive from New Egg for $80.00. If you're a Gamer you 'll want to go with 2GB of RAM. RAM is very cheap now. In addition you'll also want to go with a Direct X10 Video Card from either Nvidia or ATI/AMD. I'm not familiar with MSI so I can't give a opinion, good or bad. However DFI & ASUS make excellent AMD Motherboards.

Hope this helps

500W is enough, that system won't even take that much power.

And you don't "send" watts into your system, so having 1200W wouldn't blow anything, it would just be a waste.

apoptosis has a point, got a price range? you could build a KILLER gaming rig for ~$800-$1200
Cyberpower generic case
B450M PRO-VDH MAX
Ryzen 5 3600 w/PBO/OC
CM Hyper 212 EVO push/pull
Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 CL16
MSI RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 3X 8G OC LHR
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB
6GB Seagate HDD
EVGA 650BQ 650W PSU
ASUS VE278 27" monitor, Dell E2216HV (vertical)
Logitech Z533 2.1 Speakers, G935 7.1 or G435 headset
MS LXM-00001 keyboard
Razer Deathadder Elite, XBOX One Lunar Shift controller
