24 to 20 pin?

Hello, i have a 20 pin ATX mother board and a 24 pin powersupply, will it work?
Main Rig: C2D 6850 @ 3.0Ghz, 2Gb DDR2667Mhz @ 833Mhz 5-5-5-15 Timings , XFX xXx 8600GTS @ 730/2260 , Gigabyte Ga-945GCM-S2L
JukeBox: Currently in an Upgrade but im too lazy to do it at the moment

Also, alot of the PS connectors have a kind of breakaway connection on them.
If you look close and see a line about 4 pins in, you should be able to unsnap the 4 pin section.

Even if there isn't the break-away connector, you can let the extra 4 pins hang off the edge of the connector, provided there aren't any capacitors in the way.
