2 More Star Wars Films Coming

Post by Apoptosis »

Lucas, by the way, says he is readying "Clone Wars," an animated series for TV that's derived from "Star Wars." Many "Star Wars" characters appear in "Clone Wars," but voiced by other actors.

And here's a little news: Lucas tells me he will make two more live-action films based in the "Star Wars" era.

"But they won't have members of the Skywalker family as characters," he said. "They will be other people of that milieu."

The two extra films will also be made for TV and probably be an hour long each. But, like "Clone Wars," Lucas doesn't know where on TV they will land.

Hello, HBO and Showtime. It may be time to pony up.

Heard about this on the way home from work, this is cool since they will take place after episode 6, and there not films per say but 2 1 hour long made for tv movies.

I hear Lucas is going to give "The Ewok Adventure" movie and "The Star Wars Holiday Special" the ILM treatment. :)

Oh and The Stargate TV series butchered what could of been a cool IP. The movie rocked, TV Show, not so much. (In my opinion anyway)

I hated the 3 new ones, so I wont be going to see any more. They would have been great if they had some better writers.

sg-1 is awesome...it is probably my favorite sci-fi series ever because of the characters and well written plots. I don't see why so many people dont like it but to each his own I guess. Atlantis is good too.

More on topic, yeah, Lucas, stop butchering whats already been kicked to death. We all get the whole "I want more money thing." Give me 10% of the profit your new stuff makes and I MIGHT take the time to watch it.

i think they should redo the first three episodes again with the 1977 technology to give all three films the same feel.

I watched SG1 one time (i liked the movie) but thought the TV show was horrible.. i rather watch Entourage, the Office, of Family Guy anyday...

I can hear Lucas laughing all the way to the bank... we're all suckers for continuing to purchase Star Wars merchandise and supporting the product... The saddest part? We will continue to do so. :(
