my games are:

do my games support resoltuions this high (widescreen)? :axe:

im waiting for it to be delivered and am just curious as to how my games will go on it?

Pretty, is the answer to your question.

(I think the 8800GTX should be ok pushing that many pixels at v high settings, though dont quote me on that!)

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will be under 50FPS if I had to guess at 1900x1200 with decent quality settings... It will look pretty though and 50FPS is playable for sure.

The 8800GTX will be great for that resolution, you should not have any problems playing any games out today.

For most EA games (BF2, 2142) you'll have to do a hack to get it to run at your native resolution and it will be stretched, but that's the breaks. Dice won't fix it because they feel that widescreen gives an advantage against people who don't have it...
Anyway, check out http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/ for information and fixes for pretty much any game you can think of.

I can believe bf2 and 2142 dont support widescreen

now im gonna be at a disadvantage cause im gonna lose ait of the top and bottom of the screen????

Ea thinks widescreen is unfair???, I think its unfair that if u own a widescreen monitor u are at a disadvantage cause you lose tha top and bottom of the screen

still waiting for my new monitor..... getting impatient

BF series by default do not support widescreen. You will have to edit the shortcut start up line. go to that side and google BF2, BF2142 widscreen hack. I have done it and its really nice, though i am only using 1680*1050.

You mean the left and right, correct? :P

I game at 1920x1200 for games that my notebook can handle. WoW is no problem at highest settings, but some games push it a little hard so I have to bump down. Gaming at 1920x1200 is just amazing! I was running WoW at 1280x800 for a couple weeks when I got my notebook, then pushed it to 1920x1200 and I couldn't believe how clear and crisp the picture was.

So in short, you'll absolutely LOVE IT if your system can handle it!

It does. Especially in RTS games where the more you can see, the better it is.

bf2 and 2142 were pretty easy to get running at 1920x1200 max quality settings as well (modified shortcut)
