The Day Of Possible Mergers

Post by Apoptosis »

Albatron could acquire Chaintech Wire Link

Albatron went from being the new kid on the block to having a decent share of the worldwide market. Much of this was due to Venny in the Marketing department, but she left the company recently. Now it looks like Albatron wants to further promote their VGA line and the easiest way to do that is to buy a company that is slowing down that does it already! Chaintech has been slowly loosing sales, doesn't market their products much anymore and is keeping afloat by making VGA cards for others... Mainly all the BFG Tech cards. I see this merger happening as Chaintech can't seem to gain ground and Albatron is still growing. Time to cut the losses and jump aboard the Albatross and fly to the top!

Palit to take over Gainward Wire Link

Back in the days of the Nvidia Ti series Gainward had a number of cards that were pretty nifty. Jason the big boss in Gainward USA's marketing department ran the show back in the "good" days in the North American market. In 2003 he jumped shipped and went back to Gainward HQ in Asia. Ever since then the US market share has slipped and product samples have been scarce. Sure Gainward is doing decent in Europe, but in this age of hardware companies that is not enough. Palit is not new to the video card industry, but needs to rebuild a reputation that has been slowly evaporating since Jason left!
