Man Down! Man Down!!!

Post by DaIceMan »

Well guys, looks like my ppd is going to take a (further) hit. My 6600 rig has developed an issue of spontaneously rebooting ALL the freaking time. I've had one WU corrupt and one expire so I'm taking it out of service until I can get the problem diagnosed and repaired... hopefully by the weekend.

I will still have the 6400 and the old beater Athlon plugging away, but about 1 WU a day gone is gonna be just enough to let Kenc51 slip away just as i was closing in for the overtake.

yeah, it is... but I think it was a windows update the system doesn't like for some reason. The overclock is stable for every test I've thrown at it and only recently developed it's condition.

I'm going to reinstall windows and put the clock back to stock. If that solves the problem I'll start dialing the OC back up a little at a time. I still think this system should hit 3.6 (50% OC) with the components I have.

Sounds like a PITA but a good solution at any rate (saves a crapload of troubleshooting)
